WHPK's new programming

Strangely enough, WHPK, Hyde Park's radio station, has decided to eliminate a decent-sized chunk of its jazz programming and replace it with rock. Very out of character for this station, this change was inspired by the directors of the station.

I find this unusual because HPK is well-known for allowing all different kinds of programming with minimal influence from directors.

It has always been hard to find decent jazz programming in Chicago. I am surprised that WHPK would follow suit.

If you have something different that you want to play on the radio, or an opinion that you would like to be heard, click the WHPK link to the right. WHPK welcomes DJs from the community.

Welcome!

This is a new blog that I have started to allow discussion on issues affecting the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Please comment with any topics you would like info or discussion about.
